ASICS America Corporation is pleased to announce the release of the 2016 Accelerate Hope™ Collection as part of its support for cancer research and awareness. “The Accelerate Hope Collection is a meaningful line for ASICS,” said Roeya Vaughan, Vice President of Marketing for ASICS America. “We are proud to support these three organizations and continue to aid the fight against cancer.”
All three charities have specific focuses within the cancer research and awareness field. Cookies for Kids’ Cancer raises funds to support pediatric cancer research; Right Action for Women provides assistance to women who are at risk for breast cancer and do not have the means to cover the costs associated with the screenings; and the Prostate Cancer Foundation funds prostate cancer research around the world.
As part of its partnership with the three organizations, ASICS America will donate $10 for each Accelerate Hope™ footwear product sold from August 1 through November 30 of 2016, with a guaranteed minimum donation of $150,000 to each program.
The 2016 Accelerate Hope™ Cancer Awareness Collection is comprised of three distinct lines of ASICS footwear products. Each pair of shoes comes in a customized shoe box and is designed for each of the respective charity organizations. All three lines have men’s and women’s options available, and the Cookies for Kids’ Cancer collection also contains preschool and grade school options.
Right Action for Women was established by award-winning actress Christina Applegate and provides screening assistance and education to women at increased risk for breast cancer. The charity helps women who do not have insurance or finances needed to cover the cost of MRI breast screenings. ASICS America has created two pink-themed fuzeX™ shoes for the Accelerate Hope™ Collection in support of the organization.
The entire 2016 Accelerate Hope™ Collection will be available beginning on August 1, 2016 at www.asicsamerica.com and at various sports specialty retailers.
