Breast and Cervical Cancer
Early Detection Program (NBCCEDP)
Provides low-income, uninsured, and underserved women access to timely breast and cervical cancer screening and diagnostic services. Currently, the NBCCEDP funds all 50 states, the District of Columbia, 5 U.S. territories, and 12 American Indian/Alaska Native tribes or tribal organizations to provide screening services for breast and cervical cancer.

Medicaid
The United States health program for eligible individuals and families with low incomes and resources. Medicaid is a means-tested program jointly funded by the states and federal government, and is managed by the states. Among the groups of people served by Medicaid are certain eligible U.S. citizens and resident aliens including low-income adults and their children, and people with certain disabilities.

National Cancer Institute (NCI)
Established under the National Cancer Institute Act of 1937, NCI is the Federal Government's principal agency for cancer research and training. As part of the National Institutes of Heath (NIH), NCI coordinates the National Cancer Program, which conducts and supports research, training, health information dissemination, and other programs with respect to the cause, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of cancer, rehabilitation from cancer, and the continuing care of cancer patients and the families of cancer patients.
